Udupi: Schools, PU, ITI colleges to remain closed on July 24 due to heavy rain alert

Udupi, July 23: A holiday has been declared for all Anganwadis, primary and high schools, PU colleges, and ITI colleges in Udupi district on Wednesday, July 24, in view of the red alert issued for the region and the forecast of heavy rainfall.

Udupi deputy commissioner Swaroopa T K announced the precautionary measure following continuous heavy rain reported in many parts of the district over the past two days.

The India Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for Udupi for the coming days, warning of intense rainfall across the region.
