Kundapur, Jul 18: Three suspected naxals, including B G Krishnamurthy, currently in judicial custody in jails in Bengaluru and Kerala, were produced before the additional district and sessions court in Kundapur on Thursday under tight security.
The accused— B G Krishnamurthy and Savitri alias Usha, lodged in Viyyur Central Jail in Kerala, and Vanajakshi, held in Bengaluru Central Prison—were brought to the court on body warrants and presented before the judge.

Krishnamurthy faces seven cases, Vanajakshi three, and Savitri five, all registered under the jurisdictions of Shankaranarayana, Kollur, and Amasebail police stations in the Kundapur sub-division. As per the court’s directive requiring their personal appearance for these cases, the accused were produced accordingly. The trial in these cases is scheduled to begin on August 27.
The escort and security arrangements for transporting the accused were led by Kundapur DySP H D Kulkarni, along with teams from Bengaluru Central Prison and Viyyur Central Jail in Kerala.
