Gaza, Jul 7: At least 43 Palestinians, including women and children, were killed on Sunday in a new wave of Israeli air and artillery strikes across the Gaza Strip, according to Gaza's Civil Defense.

Air raids reportedly hit residential buildings in the al-Nasr and Sheikh Radwan neighborhoods of Gaza City. Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmoud Basal confirmed 25 deaths from those attacks, with multiple others injured.

Additional strikes killed four people in al-Tuffah, three in a tent sheltering displaced families in Sheikh Radwan, and ten in separate strikes on tents in Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis. Another fatality occurred due to gunfire by Israeli forces in the Al-Shakoush area near Rafah, Basal said.

Israeli artillery also pounded the outskirts of Gaza City, Jabalia, and Khan Younis, amid ongoing clashes with Palestinian militants. The Israeli military stated it was targeting Hamas infrastructure, including tunnels, weapon depots, and militant hideouts across Gaza, Khan Younis, and Rafah.

Since March 18, when Israel intensified its offensive, at least 6,860 Palestinians have died and over 24,000 have been wounded. This brings the overall death toll in Gaza since the war began in October 2023 to 57,418, with 136,261 injured, according to Gaza health officials.
