Mangaluru, May 29: St Theresa’s School hosted an engaging and insightful jolly phonics workshop on May 27, led by the dynamic resource person, Naina Sequeira. The session was attended by the enthusiastic educators from St Theresa’s School and Mulki School, all eager to enhance their phonics teaching strategies.
The workshop began on a warm note as principal Sr Lourdes extended a heartfelt welcome to Sequeira with the presentation of a sapling, symbolizing growth and learning.






























Sequeira delved into the five key skills of jolly phonics – learning the letter sounds, letter formation, blending, segmenting, and recognizing tricky words. Through a variety of interactive teaching aids and lively games, she demonstrated how phonics can be taught in a fun and effective manner in the classroom.
The session was not only informative but also interactive and hands-on, keeping the teachers engaged and energized throughout. Feedback shared at the end reflected the participants’ appreciation for the valuable techniques and practical insights gained during the workshop.
