Bantwal, May 14: A college student riding a two-wheeler succumbed to injuries on Wednesday, May 14, after a speeding car rammed into his vehicle on Tuesday evening, leaving him critically injured.
The deceased has been identified as Likhith (22), a resident of Manchi Kukkaje. According to sources, he was engaged in stage decoration work during his college holidays.
The accident occurred around 5:30 pm on Tuesday, May 13, when Likhith was riding home from B C Road. As he reached Panemangalore, a car reportedly travelling at high speed and in a reckless manner hit his two-wheeler.

Likhith sustained severe injuries in the accident and was rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru for treatment. However, despite best efforts by doctors, he did not respond to treatment and passed away on Wednesday, May 14.
Police officials confirmed, “The young man was critically injured in the accident. He was admitted to hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries this morning.”
The Panemangalore traffic police visited the accident site and have registered a case.
Further investigation is underway.
