Bantwal, May 2: A large number of people gathered at BC Road in Bantwal to pay their final respects to Suhas Shetty, the rowdysheeter who was murdered in Bajpe, Mangaluru. Over a thousand workers assembled to witness the final darshan of Suhas Shetty’s mortal remains.

Arrangements for public viewing were made at the BC Road bus stand, where crowds turned up in significant numbers. In solidarity, all shops remained closed, and only a few private vehicles were seen on the roads. With no bus services operating in the area, volunteers from the organisation facilitated transportation for students and senior citizens using private vehicles.

Among those present at the location were Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik, Beltangady MLA Harish Poonja, RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, and several other leaders. IG Amit Singh, SP Yathish N, town police inspector Anantapadmanabha, and SI Ramakrishna have stationed themselves in Bantwal to oversee the situation.

Meanwhile, minister Dinesh Gundu Rao, who also serves as the district in-charge minister for Mangaluru, is scheduled to meet chief minister Siddaramaiah on Friday to discuss the recent murders and the overall law and order situation in the region.

A statement from minister Rao’s office read, “In the wake of the two murder cases in Mangaluru in the recent past, the Minister will discuss with the chief minister the actions taken by the police and the need to maintain strict law and order.”

Suhas Shetty’s funeral procession began from the private hospital where his body was kept and proceeded to his hometown Beltangady. A large crowd accompanied the procession, with police personnel deployed at major junctions along the route to ensure safety and maintain order.

It is unfortunate that a young life is gone. But this young life was wanted in so many cases as a murderer and it is shocking to see that we are glorifying this kind of a rowdee in our society. So many people vehicles, so many police personnel, so many political tall leaders glorifying a Rowdy Shettar's death. Where is our education people? where are our so called educated people of Dakshina Kannada? isn't it strange that this gives you a feeling of political leaders support to the goons f the area? Section 144 in city for 04 days? Does anyone with common sense calculate loss of business to our city? what happens to daily wagers? Why are we so insensitive towards people\s sentiments? I do sympathize with his parents and family. But Suhas's background does not allow any sympathy from the society at general? So why such a hue & cry??

Quite disheartening to see people glorify a murderer, is this how blind we are¿ what are you gonna respond to the mothers of Keerthi and fazil, that we’re calling the killers of your son a hero¿ we’re clearly doomed as a society

Anand <> Mangalore < you are very right> Our leaders must not spare any effort in getting the case investigated as our district has lost a distinguished personality who would have gone on to bring innumerable laurels to our land - city, district, state as well as the country just in case he was not barbarically murdered.

Ezekiel 18:20-21 KJV The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

Dear Rolf, Dubai, Your father will not bear your sins nor you bear your father's sins. that isthe scriptures explained in which you have specified. Moreover Son of God, Jesus Christ was/is called the "Holy One". as per the scriptures Mark 1:24; Luke 4:34. The Holy One is the title given exclusively to God. The soul that sinneth shall die. However Jesus was sinless and faultless. as per the holy bible and in the Quran. "Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world" Ref. John 1:29. "Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins” Heb. 9:22. Show me one verse from the Quran wherein Muhammad spoke to Allah face to face from the earth to heaven as Jesus spoke to Heavenly Father directly from the earth to heaven Ref. John 17:5 And believe in Jesus then you will know the truth and the truth shall set you free. John 8:32

If a group of people can come in car and murder a person in a crowded area and people watched a person getting killed this very well explains the law and order in DK. Hope the government wakes up and arrest the murders soon enough
