Puttur, May 25: Renowned movie actor Aravind Bolar has thrown his support behind Dr Nareshchand Hegde, a distinguished heart specialist and independent candidate for the Karnataka Legislative Council polls. Dr Hegde is contesting from the prestigious Southwest Teachers' Constituency, with the election scheduled for June 3.

As part of the campaign, Aravind Bolar visited several major educational institutions in and around Puttur, urging teachers to vote for Dr Hegde in the upcoming elections. His campaign tour included stops at Sudana Residential School, Vivekananda's Law College, Vivekananda Kannada Medium School, Vivekananda College, St Philomena High School, St Philomena PU College, and St Philomena Degree College.

Dr Nareshchand Hegde aims to address the longstanding educational issues in the Southwest Teachers' Constituency, which has previously seen politicians without degrees elected. He hopes to meet the expectations of educated voters who are looking for a capable leader from their own ranks, promising to bring about a positive change in the constituency.
