Dubai, Jul 13: Popular Tajikistani singer and social media influencer Abdu Rozik was arrested in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Saturday on allegations of theft, according to a statement issued by his management company to Khaleej Times.
Rozik, 21, was reportedly detained by authorities at around 5 am shortly after arriving at Dubai International Airport from Montenegro. The exact details of the complaint or charges remain undisclosed, and UAE authorities have yet to release an official statement on the matter.

“All we can say is that we are aware he has been taken into custody on allegations of theft,” a company spokesperson told Khaleej Times, without offering further details.
Known for his small stature and big voice, Rozik stands at just 3 feet tall and has earned fame through viral videos, music performances, and reality show appearances, including Bigg Boss 16. Some of his hit songs include Ohi Dili Zor, Chaki Chaki Boron, and Modar.
In 2022, he had performed at the IIFA Awards in Abu Dhabi, singing the Hindi classic Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. In April 2024, Rozik got engaged to a 19-year-old UAE national named Amira, but the wedding—initially set for July 7—was later called off in September after a postponement due to his boxing commitments.
This is not the first time Rozik has faced scrutiny from authorities. In 2024, he was questioned by India's Enforcement Directorate in connection with a money laundering case involving a hospitality firm, although he was not listed as an accused.
The singer's arrest has sparked widespread curiosity among his fans, while officials continue to maintain silence over the specifics of the case.
