Six detained in connection with charred bodies found in car in Tumakuru

Tumakuru, Mar 23: Following the discovery of three charred bodies of men from Beltangady in Dakshina Kannada, found in a car that was set on fire and pushed into a pond, authorities have taken six individuals into custody as part of the ongoing investigation.

The main suspect, Swamy from Tumakuru, along with five others, has been arrested by the Kora police.

The grim discovery was made on Friday, March 22, when the burnt remains of the victims were found in a car bearing registration number KA 43, registered under the name of Rafeeq.


The deceased

The deceased have been identified as Sahul (45) from T B Cross in Nada village, Issac (56) from Madadka in Kuvettu village, and Imtiaz (34) from Shirlal village.

Kora police are investigating further.
