Bahrain, Nov 30: Yakshadhruva foundation started under the leadership of Sathish Shetty to respond to the needs of artistes has more than 40 branches in the country and abroad and has implemented several projects successfully through it. The third anniversary of its Bahrain unit was celebrated at a grand scale recently.

The elections to new office bearers and the president were held during the recent meeting in the presence of its president Patla Sathish Shetty. Kannadiga social worker residing in Saudi Arabia, Karnire Magandadi Narendra Shetty was elected unopposed as the new president of Bahrain Saudi unit.

Narendra Shetty hails from Karnire Magandadi by origin. He has been residing in Saudi Arabia for more than three decades for work. He has become well known in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain due to his social work. He is holding various positions in several organizations and indulging in social work through them. He was the founder member of Mangaluru association of Saudi Arabia and has served holding various positions in it. The organization has honored him with ‘Masa person of the year’ award in 2021 considering his service to the society. Several organizations in Saudi and Bahrain have also felicitated him. He is multi-talented and has written dramas, indulged in acting and Yakshagana. He is a good orator and is active in the toastmaster organization also. He was the founder president of Siri Kannada Toast master club.

He has always been extending his helping hand to the needy. He has provided help during Tulu and Kannada cultural activities held in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. He had served as the vice president of Yakshadhruva foundation Bahrain Saudi unit in the past. His election as its president now has made everybody glad.

Patla Sathish Shetty who was present during the election process conveyed his wishes to Narendra Shetty and other office bearers. The outgoing president Rajesh B Shetty presented flower bouquets and congratulated them.
