Mangaluru, Jun 5: The activists of Bajrang Dal (BD) waylaid a vehicle that was transporting cattle illegally and rescued five cattle that were transported in an inhumane manner at Bhandarabailu near Kuthar n Monday June 5.

The vehicle bearing a Kerala state registration number, was going through Mudipu, Konaje and Madaka route carrying five cattle. It stopped near the steep road of Bhandarabailu road. The BD workers who were nearby tried to help the driver of the vehicle by pushing it. Plastic trays of fish were kept blocked on the backside of the vehicle. The BD workers heard some sound from inside the vehicle. When they checked, they saw five cattle tied in an inhumane manner.

Both the driver and another person in the vehicle escaped from the spot. Two escort bikers also deserted their bikes and escaped.

One calf ran away. Another calf, two bulls and one cow were handed over to Ullal police station by BD workers.

Muslims are super good. Piece loving people who follow something good came from arabia. They never trouble any one. All are super innocent. Such people should not be troubled by BD unemployed youths. Let them have their cows and do ibadat 5 times because they dont know anything else

Good work by BD, in spite of the Govt in State support of cattle slaughtering the courage and spirit it should never be down. We are all in support of BD to rescue cattle transporting in inhuman manner.

Every police station must have a cow shed. Special police unit should be formed to take care of these cattle.

Very good at spotting!! How come none of these ‘spotted’ the derailed train tracks??!! Big mishap could’ve been avoided and your lives would prove worthy instead of spotting cattle all the time…

Cow theft needs to be stopped; not the mode of transport. Before vigilantism cows were never transported inhumanly.

There is a difference between legal and illegal slaughterhouses.. legal slaughterhouses are permitted in India and those are the places where meat should be cut… these are thieves stealing poor animals and illegally slaughtering them. So the so called beef ban is only for illegal slaughterers.
