Mangaluru, Jun 4: Newly elected speaker of Karnataka legislative assembly U T Khader was felicitated at St Sebastian Church, Permannur.

Khader was felicitated by Fr Cyprian Pinto, parish priest. Assistant parish priest Fr Steevan Cutinha, president of Ullal standing committee Veena Shanti D’Souza, councillor Basil D’Souza, and Sr Joseph Mary and Sr Alphonso were present.

The 21 Aayog convener Dolphy D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Vice president of parish council Arun D’Souza compered the event. Jyoti D’Souza, secretary of the parish council, rendered vote of thanks. Nearly 700 people took part in the programme.
