Udupi: Kanchan, Sorake condemn IT raids on Dr G Shankar’s homes, institutions

Udupi, Apr 21: Vinay Kumar Sorake and Ramesh Kanchan of Congress party, have strongly condemned the recent Income Tax (IT) raids on the homes and institutes of Mogaveera leader, Dr G Shankar.

Speaking at the Kaup Congress office, Sorake stated that Dr. Shankar has been a great supporter of temple and social activities. He also mentioned that the raids were carried out purposefully during the election period, implying political motives.

Sorake further added that the IT raids on Dr Shankar are an insult to him, considering the great social work he has done for years, without discriminating against anyone based on their religion, caste or creed. He has contributed significantly to blood donation camps, medical treatments, religious programs, temple renovation and other pro-society works, making him an asset to the entire community.

Meanwhile, in a press release, Udupi block Congress committee president Ramesh Kanchan called upon the Mogaveera community and others to understand the political conspiracy of the BJP and give a befitting reply during the upcoming elections.

    What prevents the IT Dept. to carry on raids on BJP Party members .They are now labelled as 40% and many are involved in this trade/business and amassed wealth. Let them raid their houses. Why Congress are targeted everywhere.

    for your information first guy from left is Udupi block Congress committee president Ramesh Kanchan and that guy not contested election. it means u dnt even know face on kanchan who is contesting on congress ticket, how he will win
