Udupi: I will convey sentiments of Bunts community to CM – Minister Kota Poojary

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (JS/EP)

Udupi, March 14: “Bunts community is a strong force. I will try to bring their sentiments to the notice of the chief minister," said minister for social welfare Kota Srinivas Poojary.

Reacting to the demand for the formation of nigama at Udupi for the Bunts community, he said several communities have already placed their demands for  nigamas. Narayanaguru nigama, Banjaru nigama and Ganiga nigamas have been granted. "The demands of the others will be verified from time to time," he said.

Reacting to Rahul Gandhi's talk lightly abroad, he said the party leader had said in a university abroad that Indian democracy is in danger. “There are discussions inside and outside the country about our democracy. We have urged Rahul Gandhi to apologise for letting down India. The world respects India through Modi.”

“Several intellectuals said when Narendra Modi came to power that there was intolerance in the country. There were discussions in that regard at the Vidhana Parishat. I heard that several people returned their awards when in fact nobody had returned the awards. The then minister of Kannada and Culture Umashree said that only photocopies were returned by some,” he said.
