Kasargod: NIA investigates hawala transaction in Manjeshwar

Kasargod, Mar 7: A team from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrived in Manjeshwar to investigate a hawala transaction involving crores of rupees that had taken place in Delhi.

The main suspect, a youth, was arrested in Bengaluru in connection with the case. He provided information leading the NIA team to Manjeshwar, where they took a man into custody. However, no details about the individual have been released by the team.

Meanwhile, on March 5th, another NIA team conducted raids in Cochin relating to activities of the Popular Front of India (PFI). Irshad, a painter residing in Edvanakkad, was taken into custody, and the house of a relative of PFI arms trainer Mohammed Mubarak, who is already under arrest, was also raided in Edavanakkad.
