Kasargod: Thieves break into house, steal 50 sovereigns of gold

Kasaragod, March 6: Thieves broke into a two-storeyed house at Pallathadka, near Badiadka and burgled gold jewellery weighing 50 sovereigns from there.

The theft occurred at Abdul Razak's residence. Thieves entered his house by breaking open the door on the ground floor and stole the gold ornaments.

Abdul Razak and his family members had locked the house and had gone to his daughter's house at Edurthodu. When they returned home on Monday morning the family found the door of the house broken and also the gold kept in the cupboard missing.

Badiadka station police have registered a case and are investigating.

DySP P K Sudhakaran led the investigation and visited the spot. Forensic experts and a dog squad were pressed into service to collect vital clues.
