Udupi: Fire breaks out in house at Panjimaru causing huge loss

Udupi, Feb 7: Fire broke out at the residence of Lena Cutinho in Kodugudde, Panjimaru, Shirva gram panchayat limits on Tuesday, February 7 evening causing huge loss.

The fire that broke at the toilet spread to the kitchen. Coconuts, firewood and other items stored in the bathroom were gutted.

It later spread to the house and damaged a portion of the house.

Shirva police station staff, Udupi fire tenders and locals together doused the fire.
