The deceased is identified as Raviraj Shetty (33), son of the late Kupaiah Shetty, a resident of Kanyan village.

It is said that Raviraj was suffering from ill health for quite some time. Hence, his mother had taken him for check-up at the hospital on Saturday.

Very Sad, May his soul rest in peace . Dear Hindus brothers, I would advice you all to please take care each other rather than blindly supporting VHP and RSS. VHP and RSS are not bothered when Mr. Raviraj Shetty commits suicide. Let go of the hate and let's help each other irrespective of our Religion caste and creed.

Need of hour is to generate the jobs and blessing of populism in health sector. One like it or not nehruvian economics was job generator. Current regime should do sole searching and honestly answer themselves whether enough jobs are being generated and opportunity is being created to distribute the wealth to masses.

People commit suicide for any of the following reasons: 1. Depression and other mental illnesses. 2. Serious illness such as chronic pain from incurable diseases. 3. Criminal/legal problems. 4. Job/financial problems and heavy loss in business and large loans. 5. Substance use. 6. Adverse childhood experiences. 7. Rejection in love and marital problems. Though there are helplines, they cannot do anything like large loan, incurable diseases giving chronic pain, criminal and legal problems. India only allows passive euthanasia, like pulling plug from ventilator etc. Like many western countries, India should allow dignified active euthanasia for people such as chronic pain in cancer and other incurable diseases. While my sympathy goes to Mr. Shetty, I pray may his soul rest in peace.
