Kundapur, Oct 6: Moodlakatte Institute of Technology (MITK), Kundapur, recently launched its flagship Entrepreneurship and Innovation Unit, ‘UdyamX’, aimed at promoting innovation, nurturing a strong startup culture and providing comprehensive incubation support to students.
UdyamX has been established as a student-centric platform to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry by providing students with practical exposure, mentorship and support to transform creative ideas into viable business ventures.

The chief guest, Dr Harishchandra Hebbar, former director of MCIS, MAHE, Manipal, delivered an inspiring address and urged students to look at ideas, innovation and entrepreneurship from a broader perspective. He said true innovation goes beyond solving everyday problems and lies in creating impactful and sustainable solutions to societal challenges.
Dr Ramakrishna Hegde, principal of MIT Kundapur, highlighted the crucial role of educational institutions in addressing real-world challenges through research, technological capabilities and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Delivering the presidential address, Dr S N Bhat, academic director of IMJ Educational Institutions, stressed the importance of leadership, adaptability and ethical values in today’s dynamic global environment. He said UdyamX aims to serve as a practical platform to build confidence among students and nurture the next generation of job creators.
The event also witnessed the unveiling of the official UdyamX logo and promotional video. Faculty members and students who were recognised under NAIN 2.0 were also felicitated with appreciation certificates.
Dr Shivaraj Hublikar, incubation in-charge; Dr Varun Kumar, IIC coordinator and head of the electronics department; Dr Manjunath Lamani, head of the CSE department; faculty members; UdyamX president Ishrath Jahan, a fourth-year student; vice-president Trisha, a third-year student; student leaders and students from various departments were present on the occasion.
