Gold worth Rs 38.53 lac confiscated at Mangaluru International Airport

Mangaluru, Oct 7: Customs officials at the international airport in the city seized 741 gram gold worth Rs 38.53 lac from a man who tried to smuggle the same on Thursday October 6.

The Kasargod resident who arrived by Air India Express flight from Dubai had mixed the gold powder in gum and concealed the same in his rectum.

Custom officials took the accused into custody and said that legal action will be taken on him.
