Antigen tests scheduled at border points from Karnataka to Kasargod postponed - DC Sajith Babu

Kasargod, Oct 31: District collector (DC) D Sajith Babu has said that Antigen tests scheduled in 5 out of 17 border points from Karnataka to Kasargod has been postponed until further notice.

The DC has extended prohibitory orders under section 114 that are in force in the district till November 15.

The orders were passed on October 3 as the cases of Covid-19 were increasing. As coronavirus cases has not decreased, the orders are extended by another 15 days.

The prohibitory orders are extended in Manjeshwar, Kumble, Badiadka, Kasargod, Vidyanagar, Melbaramba, Bekal, Hosadurga, Nileshwar and Chandera police station limits and Parappa, Odeyanchal and Panathadi market.

The district administration is taking several measures to control the virus. As many as 18,640 people have been infected with the virus so far. 16,738 people have recovered, 1,713 are under treatment and 189 people have succumbed to the virus.
