Mangaluru: Veteran actor, director Madhava Jappu Patna passes away

Mangaluru, Oct 15: Veteran cine actor and director Madhava Jappu Patna, who also was the trustee of Goddess Bhagawathi temple, passed away at around 3.30 am on Thursday October 15.

Madhava Jappu Patna, who was a seasoned movie actor, had introduced several talented actors to the theatre. Being a senior actor of Tulu theatre, he had extended encouragement to many talented people.

Madhava had been honoured with a number of prestigious awards and recognitions including the state award. Besides being the trustee of Kudroli Goddess Bhagawathi temple, he also was functioning as the vice president of Navanidhi Multipurpose Cooperative Society.

The funeral is planned to be performed in the afternoon at the Nandigudde graveyard on Thursday October 15.
