Prime Minister Narendra Modi wears masks made in Davanagere

Daijiworld Media Network - Davanagere (SP)

Davanagere, Oct 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has added a feather to the illustrious cap of Davanagere city by wearing masks made there. The masks Modi wears were made here by social activist K P Vivekanand, his wife Shanta and daughters, Kavya and Namratha along with Kavita Devi, daughter-in-law of Ranjit Singh, a dealer in electricals.

Vivekanand said that during the lockdown they got an idea of making the masks. "We made 8,000 masks and sold 7,000 free of cost. We made these masks by using high-quality cotton cloth and canvas and have designed them in such a way that they do not obstruct breathing. These masks are attractive to look at and hence got a good response from our friends and relatives," he explained.

Vivekanand says that inspired by this success, he had sent 40 masks in tricolour to the Prime Minister by speed post on August 13. "The parcel reached him on August 17, but we did not get any response from there. But after we saw a photo of him wearing a mask, we found that he was using the masks made by us. Our happiness knew no bounds," he explained.

Precisely! Well pointed out.. Dear J.anata...

Frustration having become a part of our daily life, are we left with any other option?

Low GDP, Slumping Economy, Suffering Farmers, Rising Crimes against women, Rising Unemployment, Youth suicides, Girls burning due to oppression and suppression,.. . Our youth are without jobs. All these has left us with nothing but only FRUSTRATIONS to celebrate.

    J.anata..

Why should I cross border to compare my motherland with other countries. Rest of the world can live the way they like. It need not concern me. My concern is for my motherland. Being the daughter of India I want the 3 Ps' in my Motherland - Peace, Prosperity and Progress.

For this our leaders needs to cross border and see what's going on in the rest of the world and strive to be better than other countries and lead our country in the paths of progress.

This way we can rise above the petty hate politics so as to excel and stand tall among other countries of the world.

How does wear mask very important here, likewise people who suffered or died from Corona will also be taken as serious consideration by our PM. As we known, every pvt. hospitals are unnecessarily charging very high amount upon Corona patients! Govt. hospitals are unable to provide sufficient beds to such patients and most of the times mistakes happen while testig Corona positive/negetive. PM should interfere into this matter and insists to all the pvt. hospitals to give free of cost treatment cum ICU for all the Corona patients who admitted into pvt. hospitals due to non availability of treatment by the Govt. Hospitals in time. Highly profile people can afford pvt. hospitals bills, but common people are very much suffered in it. Because of such reason, many people are hesitated to go for swab testing. Corona mukth desh banaane chaahiye to Pvt. hospitals se Corona mukth kar deejiye....varna to Corona aise hi aam aadmiyonka paisa loot the rahete hein....

"but we did not get any response from there. "

parcel was delivered there... it was big gesture from ordinary well minded mask makers from Davangere... they were thoughtful to send tricolour masks to him... but not cultured enough to acknowledge and thank the senders... now wearing it without even acknowledging or thanking for it... low standard mentality...

Many people who wore masks, including celebrities, high ranking govt. officials, doctors got infected.Mask does not totally prevent respiratory viral infections.
1 There is no air tight seal between the face and the mask, and most of the air we breath goes through the space between the mask and skin of the face., and not through the mask! Just try to seal a N 95 mask with your face skin ,you will find very difficult to breathe in.
2 The virus can enter through the eyes, nasolacrimal duct, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi into the lungs which is the main target organ.
If an INFECTED person wears a mask he might reduce the viral load when he breaths out, coughs or sneezes., This is the only advantage.
Remember when a surgeon wears a mask during surgery, he does it primarily to prevent sending "resident"bacteria and virus into the open surgical wound.
3 You may bring home the virus from outside as the virus can stick to the outer surface of the mask(,if proper care is not taken.)

Now who said masks provide 100% safety against the virus? It just reduces probability. Do you know for certain the celebrities, doctors and top ranking officials who got infected, wore the masks at right time in the right manner? For instance, there was a video that went viral depicting how late SPB had his mask off and touched the microphone and then his nose for a brief moment. Until a vaccine/cure becomes available, mask is the only saviour even though, not absolutely foolproof.
