Mangaluru: 'Yogi Adityanath should be ashamed to call himself Hindu' - Mithun Rai

Mangaluru, Oct 1: District Youth Congress and district Mahila Congress conducted candlelight protest opposite Mangaluru City Corporation on Thursday, October 1, condemning the gang rape that took place of the 19-year-old girl in Hathras on September 14. The agitated protestors had also blocked the road.

District Youth Congress president Mithun Rai on the matter said, "Rape victim succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment in Delhi on September 29. She had suffered multiple fractures, paralysis and a deep gash in her tongue. It was also reported that the police had denied the victim's family the right to hold last rites for their daughter. Yogi Adityanath should be ashamed to call himself Hindu who wears a saffron dress and defends the accused. It is an insult to the Hindus."

"We will fight and raise voice until justice is provided. We condemn the ruthless act where the accused men gang-raped the 19-year-old. We demand the resignation of chief minister Yogi Adityanath. Today Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was detained and was pushed by the cops on the ground. People are looking forward to ending the reign of the BJP government. Uttar Pradesh cops manhandled Rahul Gandhi, this is a beginning of a war against Uttar Pradesh government. Yogi should come forward to apologize and we demand the accused in this case be hanged."

The protesters had also burnt the effigy of UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath.

"The rape plus murder of the Dalit girl in UP has shocked the country. The silence of the majority should not be tolerated. We have to voice out against this crime, and our voices should reach the Prime Minister. We need an answer, we need justice. Daughters of India are not safe, the violence against women is on the rise. We need to address this issue that is the need of the hour," said Suhan Alva Youth leader.

    Bejaimai,

No women should be raped....be Hindu, Muslim, Christian or anybody ....main reason for these rapes in India ...rapists think they can get away with our weak Law Enforcement and Judicial system....if a potential rapist knows if he rapes any Woman he will sit in prison for 10 years for SURE ....I am sure nobody will rape in India....

See in western Countries....Consensual sex is tolerated...BUT anybody who rapes for sure will go to Prison for at least 10 years....

    ...Tak...Takk...

Where is the mask for many in the crowd including Mr. Mithun Rai?

Is it to be worn on chin?

DC knows only to fine the common people on roads. He does not know about this?

All political party leaders including CM, Ministers are blatantly violating the Covid 19 norms. No mask, no social distance. Then they talk of strict action on common people.

Jeeth D'souza, Mangalore. I totally endorse your comments. I too have been harping on the same string time and again. We must understand that both the Congress and the BJP are like the two sides of the same coin. Nobody is interested in the welfare of the people and the country. They are only concerned about their personal benefit. Whether it is Modi or Rahul Gandhi. It is only that Modi thanks to his better command over the Hindi language and his better speaking ability is in a better position to easily hoodwink and mislead the people than Rahul.
The people should be smart enough to see through their designs. It is each one's prerogative to support the party of his or her choice. By all means support the party you like. Vote for them. But please do not support their wrong doings. If you feel your party is going off track, pull them up. Don't blindly support them just because you have voted for them. Think about the country. That should be our first priority. People like Modi or Rahul will come and go. But the nation will remain forever. Support the country, not any individual. Be a desh bhakht not a party bhakht.

Few statements made by Yogi adityanath (UP's CM): "Women need male protection from birth to death and their energy/power (urja) should be controlled lest it becomes worthless and destructive.” “Only controlling women power will foster the birth and rearing of great men.” “There are inherent dangers in making women like men. If men acquire women like qualities they become God, but when women acquire men like qualities they become “rakshas” (demons). Serious thought must be given to these issues.” On feminism: “The thoughtless storm of women’s freedom of the West will drive them to an even more disastrous condition and it will hamper the creation and stability of the family home and prevent the glorious rebuilding of the nation and motherland.” “It is shameful that men are sitting in the comfort of their razais (quilts) and have sent their women and children to agitate on the choraha (on the street) to agitate.” Shocking how people with such mindset become leaders.

Stop to blame everything on Government. This is done by the cruel mindset of people not by any government. This stops only when our government changes to some loopholes in our law regarding the punishment of rape accused. Please insist the government make some changes in the punishment to the accused people. Hang the culprits in the middle of the road within the week of the incident. Then automatically the women get security in her life and the number of rape cases also comes down.

What is wrong with us?? Has affliction to a political party become so important that we start forgetting human deceny??? Who CARES about BJP or CONGRESS it's about the plight of that girl who had to undergo such trauma...!!!
Imagine for a second the fear, pain she must have felt.... Disgusting. Her family members are running around for justice and just because the accused are of upper caste the police hushed up the entire issue. If someone else is fighting to give that victim and their family justice we should atleast lend some support.. I guess being a HUMAN BEING this is the least we can do... If we keep saying BJP CONGRESS even for such issues I gues there is no hope for us as human beings....
What's happening in UP is wrong. And dangerous.. So stop looking at it like BJP or CONGRESS ... Start looking at wrong and right which a normal human being should do... GO HELL WITH BOTH BJP AND CONGRESS...

Where in Rajasthan did the administration and government fail the rape victim after they were raped? It took more than 10 days for the hathras police to file an fir. She was not shifted to aiims where she could've survived. And finally cremated against her family's consent by police as if they were destroying some evidence. We all know how UP government failed the Unnao girl when her whole family was tortured and the victim was set on fire. In kashmir ruling bjp leaders took out rally in support of rapists!
Rape itself is a failure of the government. But denying the rape victim dignity and justice by the administration and government even after such heinous crimes is just criminal!

When will the conscience of my Hindu brothers be shaken? How long will they wait to open their eyes to the injustice that is taking place in our country?

There is no development of any kind, unemployment is rampant in the country, people have no money to spend, our courts have stopped delivering justice, our judiciary has been purchased, our media has been bought, the Reserve Bank is dancing to the tunes of one person, the CBI is being used to benefit the ruling government and the police are licking the boots of the law makers. People raising questions are labelled anti national, when objections are raised against this government, the names of Nehru and Indira Gandhi are being used to divert the failures of the government.

How long are we going to tolerate such things? The country is being divided on the basis of religion. It is now time for the people to wake up and see the reality. We should all rise as one nation, irrespective of which religion we belong to, and defend our mother land from the evil hands that are trying to divide us.

The gang rape of the young girl in Uttar Pradesh n the lethargic, coverup and quick disposal of her body, to avoid any clues, is a horrific crime committed by the police !!! CM Yogi must address n bring the culprits to book, irrespective of their caste or political affiliations !!! Rajashtan state, which is ruled by the Congress, has notoriously rise in rape incidents, by over 81•45 % in 2019 !!! This revelation is very shocking !!! Utter Pradesh is the hub for the rapists and the difference between U.P and Rajasthan is that U.Ps Yogi administration who himself withdraws dozen of his own criminal cases on his name protecting the rapists and other criminals.
In Hatras the girl was raped tortured. Family's complaint was not entertained . She was not given proper treatment for a week and was cremeted at 3pm by the police with petrol without the presence of her family. Its such a brutal act that forced Central govt to called upon SIT for investigation . Remember earlier even the BJP leader Kuldeep senger destroyed the rape victim and her entire family before landing in jail.
