Mangaluru, Sep 17: Writing with both hands simultaneously. Recalling the names of all the districts in India. Solving Rubik's Cube in 45 seconds. This extraordinarily talented 15-year-old girl can do all that and more.

Readers are already familiar with the exceptional skills that Aadi Swaroopa possesses. The young girl made headlines after she set a world record for writing 45 words simultaneously with both the hands in one minute. Her effort was declared as an exclusive record by LATA Foundation organization of Rai Bareli of Uttar Pradesh.

The ambidextrous Aadi Swaroopa, who represents Swaroopa Adhyana Kendra in Mangaluru, has been doing wonders at the age of 15 with numerous records and achievements to her name, though she has never been through conventional school education.

She says that she prefers self-learning and through that very process has amassed various skills. After one year of practice, she developed the art of writing simultaneously with both hands in 10 different styles like unidirectional, opposite direction, righthand speed, lefthand speed, reverse running, mirror image, heterotopic, heterolinguistic, exchange, dancing and blindfolding. Currently, she is preparing on her own to write the Class X examination. Her next goal is setting a new Guinness World Record.

In an exclusive interview to Daijiworld 24x7 channel, Aadi Swaroopa demonstrated her amazing skills live on TV. She recalled the names of districts in four Indian states, and revealed how she manages to memorize them all: "I use short sentences containing initial letters of the names of the districts," she said, before rattling out long sentences made up of all the names of districts in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Kerala and Karnataka. She even had an amusing sentence to remember all the taluks of Karnataka.

In another amazing display of her talent, she was asked to guess two phone numbers, which were enacted in a form of a mime story by her father who was in another part of the studio. Needless to add, Swaroopa guessed the numbers correctly without even taking a moment to ponder.

"We are trained to develop our writing skills with both the hands at Swaroopa Kendra. When my speed of writing with both the hands simultaneously grew, I was confident that I could set a record. I can also memorize phone numbers through signs, names of districts in the country, taluks of all the districts," she said.

The lockdown due to coronavirus allowed Swaroopa to hone her skills. "The lockdown period was helpful to develop these skills as I had a lot of free time on hand. My day-to-day schedule begins with training to sing, doing activities for sharpening my memory," she said.

"I have exhibited my skills all over the state including other states like Kerala, Maharastra, Delhi and Rajasthan in the past nine years. Swaroopa Kendra conducts such state tours for three months every year to demonstrate our skills."

Besides, she is also an inspiration to thousands of students with her abilities in mimicry and beatboxing. Swaroopa also has an excellent memory power and is well versed in literature, music, Yakshagana and painting. Her powerful memory enables her to recall a thousand phone numbers, memorize anything within seconds, and solve Rubik's Cube puzzle in 45 seconds.

"I have a desire to set a record in mimicry, beatboxing, Yakshagana, psychology, Rubik's Cube and also ace nine other different ways of writing with both the hands simultaneously. On my preparations for Class X examination I have already completed the studying the language subjects and am currently preparing for the science subject by applying various methods to study efficiently," she added.

Swaroopa also expressed her keen interest in music and is learning Hindustani music from Pandit Ravikiran, Manipal. She is learning guitar and keyboard and plays the instrument Timki. Swaroopa also sings and has also composed music for lessons and poems of her curriculum. Her CDs of lesson music have also been released.

Aadi Swaroopa has participated in more than 50 Yakshagana shows in the past seven years. She is a voracious reader and reads books written in Kannada and English. Swaroopa has already read more than 120 novels and also written lessons and poems in two languages. She has published a book titled, 'Aadiya Kathe, Anthya Neeve Heli' compilations of 40 stories on her 10th birthday. The art exhibition of 40 paintings, which Aadi drew for her compilation of stories has been placed at Prasad Art Gallery of the city. Swaroopa is currently writing a fantasy novel in English.

Speaking to Daijiworld, Gopadkar of Swaroopa Adhyana Kendra said, "Every day we give students five different topics to write through which they develop their writing skills. Aadi Swaroopa has practised the art of writing with both the hands simultaneously for two years, during which, she also developed the art of writing in 10 different styles. When her writing speed in both the hands was on the same level we thought of testing it for the world record. Following which, she entered into exclusive world records of writing 45 words simultaneously with both the hands."

"Aadi Swaroopa is keen on self-learning and we just suitably guide her. Even for her preparations for Class X examination, she is studying on her own without taking anyone's help and has already completed studying the language subjects," he said.

"During the lockdown, she was free to develop these skills. Our main objective is multi-tasking, while she is preparing for the Class X examinations she is also preparing for the Guinness World Records in 10 other subjects. We also give her activities to develop memory, due to which she can memorize even mobile numbers," said Gopadkar.

"In the present age, students fear writing the board examinations, however, we do not. We have a method through which we aim to complete the portion in a day, even the notes we prepare are through pictorial forms. We have also developed a concept called one textbook one picture. Students should understand the importance of self-study. School is a limitation centre, its a certificate factory, we started our organisation to save the children from this factory," Gopadkar added.
