Mangalore, Apr 18: Daijiworld media will once again initiate a campaign to reach out to and support people who have been affected by the lockdown over the coronavirus pandemic, but this time we are going a step further. After our 'We are with you' campaign for the residents of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi received huge support from individuals, organizations and political and social leaders, it is now time to support our very own NRIs spread all over the world. In this direction, Daijiworld is initiating 'Dear Gulf Kannadigas - We are with you' campaign to create a forum through LIVE TV show exclusively for Kannadigas in the Gulf.

On Saturday, April 18 at 9 pm Indian Standard Time (IST) Daijiworld TV will present a LIVE show and open the phone lines exclusively for Kannadiga NRIs from Gulf countries. You can address your issues relating to difficulties during the lockdown on our show. If you or anyone else you know is in difficulty, please do not hesitate to express the same without revealing your identity, and if anyone wants to reach out to the needy in the Gulf, please come forward and support them directly.

Daijiworld will document the entire show and present the problems faced by NRIs in the Gulf to the chief minister of Karnataka, and to the external affairs minister of India. Our efforts will go into putting pressure on the authorities concerned and reach out to the needy NRIs during this most difficult time. The contribution of NRIs cannot be ignored or forgotten. It is our duty to support the NRIs who have sacrificed for the betterment and development of Karnataka state and the coastal districts in particular.

Our phone lines will be open from 9 pm IST. At the same time, Daijiworld will contact some of the leaders of associations in the Gulf to get the latest updates and also leaders back home concerned with NRI affairs.

Daijiworld will play the role of a communicator between the needy and the supporter, and also as the bearer of your messages to the governments of Karnataka and India.

Remember, we may be under a lockdown, but we need to keep our spirits high. Let us come together in this hour of need and support one another.

Very motivating program for all :Kannadigas". Very patriotic program for all those who love Kannada, who talk Kannada and who are keen to learn more about Kannada. We had the opportunity of taking part in the "Kannada Sammehlan" that took place in Dallas, Texas for two consecutive days, few months ago and we were impressed with the way the Kannadigas organized the program with pomp and majesty added with such a vast congregation of Kannadigas that came all the way from Karnataka to be with their families, friends and also the community. These kind of gatherings bring honor and solidarity to our community, and also brings added pride to India's cultural diversity.

Thank you very much, "Daijiworld" for organizing a program such as this. God bless.

A very good initiative by daji world. Once the flights start operating there would be flow of passengers and all of them have to be quarantined. So arrange KSRTC buses from the airport to be taken to their respective districts as per the address on the passport. None to be allowed outside the airport as chances of giving a slip to go to their respective homes are more. This will help in spreading the virus to the society. Kassargod districts passengers will be huge. So arrangements to be made to drop them at Kasargod. This will help to minimize the load of the patients at hospitals and taking care will be easy.
