Bengaluru, Jan 11: The State Election Commission has issued a press release clarifying that it has not announced the dates for the Gram Panchayat election for the year 2020 in Karnataka. It has also asked people to not fall prey to fake circulars doing rounds online.

“It has been brought to our notice that people are sharing a ‘circular’ which is in the same format of the circulars that are issued by the State Election Commission. In this circular, April 5 and 9 are announced as dates of Gram Panchayat election. It also mandates, that people need to possess Aadhaar and Pan card form Karnataka and must compulsory pass high school in order to be eligible. This order is fake,” reads the clarification.

The State Election Commission has neither announced dates nor the criteria for elections.

Such anti indians should be traced and kicked out of india. In case they have no respect in India and Indian constitution let them go to another country. They have no right to live here. They should be arrested and heavily penalised for misusing Govt documents. They should be treated as anti indians.

State Election Commission became toothless tiger after recent defection of elected MLA's now the ruling party.
If State Election Commission can't uphold the voters mandate and Supreme Court verdict justifies the defection, Do we really need such autonomous body on tax payers which can't act in favor voters?
