Mangaluru, Nov 9: Mangaluru South MLA D Vedavyasa Kamath, denied allegations made by former MLA, J R Lobo, that housing project at Shaktinagar in the city was stalled due to obstacles created by BJP.

He was responding to the allegation made by former MLA of the constituency, J R Lobo, that BJP had stalled the said housing project.

Addressing the media here on Friday November 8, Vedavyasa Kamath said, "J R Lobo did not seek any permission from the forest department to allot the said land for the project, as it belonged to deemed forest. BJP never obstructed housing project at Shaktinagar. Let Lobo confess to his mistakes. I will definitely help in resolving the issue."

He also said," Congress party has never met the promises made by it in the last election's manifesto and I want to know on what basis they are seeking votes from the public. In the last election manifesto, they mentioned about drinking water facilities, IT Park, cable free city etc but these have not been met as mentioned in the manifesto. When Congress was in power they hiked property tax four times and they never fulfilled their promises made in the manifesto and they have no right to seek votes from the public."

He also said, "I do not know who prepared this year's Congress manifesto, but BJPs manifesto was prepared in consultation with the general public."

BJP leaders Bhaskarchandra Shetty, Prabha Malini, Jithendra Kottary and Sanjay Prabhu were present at the press meet.

This fellow should bother for his party's manifesto and not Mr. Lobo's. We all know after "Demonetisation" by the BJP where is our country's is heading now tpday?. There is not a single able leader in BJP who is capable to deliver because their masters in Delhi are(Chaiwala and Tadipar) are illiterates and are snooping on opponents. All thier minsters are jokers!

Need to take all party political leaders behind Kankanady bus stand and make them to stand there for just 10 minutes. That place stinks worst than rotten eggs. Look at the road near pumpwell and nanthoor circle.
Ofcourse Mr.J.R.Lobo has done a lot for the mangalore city but last two years BJP has done zero so far.

There is a saying that : people deserve their government".
We always blame pot holes and lack of progress . Yet we are the ones electing these people based on religion, caste and party lines . We don't elect people on merit. These people once elected make mockery of the people who voted them, the intelligent people of coastal region.
There is some feeling that coastal mangalore region is neglected by centre and the state govts.

My view is that mangalore is left behind because of our inability to elect good legislators.
We elect based on religion, caste and party lines. I was amazed that this changed when JR Lobo was MLA. I don't care about a person's religion or caste or party. I care about development of Mangalore.
Does not matter which party is in centre or state , if our MLA and MP do not work for us , then we lose out.
I personally don't think we have elected people who work for mangalore. Ribbon cutting only will not develop mangalore. As citizens we need to rise above religion caste creed of a person but see honesty , sincerity and efforts . I think in this regard we have failed miserably. At present the progress will be slow because the elected do not seem to understand or have the passion to do service.

this mamu is just enjoying life. You can see him in only public functions and not in any problematic places.

Lots of posters were put in Bejai area saying that he has brought grant to all chillar projects like small pathway etc. They will not materialize but this guy wants to just make false propaganda.

People will come to know in future when no development takes place in the city, that this person is just another Feku of Namma Kudla
