A journalist from Subrahmanya, identified as Bharat Nekraje, who was returning from Puttur, helped Ganesh and the other two in his car to Puttur and admitted them into a private hospital. The locals had called for ambulance immediately after the accident, but realizing that delay might prove detrimental, Bharat decided to take the injured in his car.
