Udupi, Oct 6: Shabana, wife of Shakeel Ahmed, a resident of Indrali, has filed a complaint with the women police station here accusing her husband of giving triple talaq and also threatening with life.
In her complaint Shabana says, "My marriage took place 19 years ago with Ahmed at the Masjid Hall of Bajpe Permude as per Islamic traditions and I have three children. My husband is torturing me mentally and physically from the day of marriage. I was tolerating for the sake of children. We are living in Indrali since seven years. Here also my husband was pressurizing me to divorce him and for the same reason he was torturing me as well as the children,”
"Now my husband is living separately since March 2019. On September 16, when I was walking on Indrali Temple Road at around 11.30 am my husband Shakeel Ahmed met me and said talaq three times and also said that he is getting married to someone else. In addition, he also threatened to kill me." says the complaint.
