Mangaluru: Khader complains about transfer of honest police officers

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (ANK)

Mangaluru Aug 4: Former district-in-charge minister U T Khader complained about the transfer of honest police officers from the district.

Addressing media here on Saturday, August 3, U T Khader, said, "During my tenure as the district-in-charge minister I have taken strong measures such as closing down illegal massage parlours and skill game centres. We also contained ganja and sand mafia. Sand bazaar app was also introduced to provide sand at reasonable price. Along with people’s representatives, the officials have worked sincerely for implementation of policies,”

“Police commissioner Sandeep Patil, who was doing a tremendous job, has been transferred. Also DCP Hanumantharaya has also been transferred. I request not to transfer good officers. This is not the proper way to transfer such officers in such a hurry. I have written a letter to chief minister B S Yediyurappa regarding the transfer of dedicated officers in the district,” he added.

“Do not experiment by transferring sincere officers from the district. BJP was in hurry to get power. But cabinet is yet to be formed. Home minister has not been appointed, In such case, why the officers are transferred?” Khader questioned.

“I have also written a letter to union minister Nithin Gadkari to safeguard human lives and protect environment along the national highways. I urge immediate action to stop the spate of suicides from bridges over the rivers along the national highways. 900-meter bridge with low railings is an easy target for garbage disposal also. Suicides from bridges are also on the rise. High railings will prevent people from committing suicide and will also stop eople from dumping garbage in to the river. Additional lights and CCTVs should be installed on the bridges to monitor the activities,” concluded Khader.

If he was honest why he could not control the city bus menance in mangalore city. Private city buses are king of the road today, and thanks to you, police and RTO who has a very great Ghatbandan arragement to protect the city bus owner's interest. Even auto driver's are rude as they could be and sense of public service is Zero with them.

You did not do any visible development for Mangalore in your term as minister. Ullal town is totally out of way. Under your Maithri sarkar Mangalore has slipped its position from 2nd fastest growing city in karnataka to 3rd as you itself told it in karavali utsav. It is because your kumara Govt had withheld all development projects of Mangalore-udupi and approved all projects of Mysuru-ramanagara region. My question is a how could a Port city like mangalore be 2nd or 3rd city while in all other states Port cities are either capital city or most developed city of state. Like Mumbai, chennai, kolkata, kochi. Its all because of your Maithri govt. hatred towards coastal region and utter negligence.
The same wouldnt happen under BJP govt i suppose. Nalin and Vedavyas has to focus on getting bigger projects approved pertaining to Dakshina kannada and improve industrially, Road and tourism infrastructure.

Congress, JDS have realized that they will be totally wiped out, in any new elections, Transfers and relocations happen, whenever a new government takes control..... old policies, are cast away.....Ground reality indicates, that Mangaluru city and adjoining districts, have become severely crimes infested and very volatile regions...... Hope n pray, that this new BJP government, will ensure a crime free, peaceful and just environment, in the state of Karnataka........
