Puttur, Aug 1: A married woman who was on a visit to the residence of a relative at Haradi here was admitted into a private hospital after she complained of health complications. She however fled with her lover from the hospital on July 30.
The woman, identified as Prema (18) wife of Shinoj from Kannur, Kerala, had married on July 8 this year. Prema, who was from Kushalnagar in Kodagu district had married Shinoj at a ceremony organized by her parents at Kushalnagar. On July 26, the couple had travelled to Puttur to visit the family of Shinoj's elder sister at Haradi here. As Prema suffered from fever on July 29, she was admitted into a private hospital here.
As Prema was accommodated in the women's ward of the hospital, Shinoj was sleeping outside the ward. When he got up on July 30 morning, he found that Prema had gone missing. He found that Prema has sent a message to his cell phone to inform that she was going with her lover and asked him not to search for her.
On the basis of complaint filed by Shinoj on July 31, a case stands registered in the women's police station here. The police have visited Kushalnagar in an effort to crack the case.
