Beltangady: Car transporting cattle illegally topples - Six cows die, thieves escape

Daijiworld Media Network - Beltangady (MS)

Beltangady, Jun 7: A car that was transporting six cattle illegally from Charmadi of the taluk to Ujire turned turtle and fell into a ditch, when the driver of the car lost its control at Mundaje. All the six cows lost their lives in the accident.

It is suspected that the cows were made to eat some poisonous substance to make them unconscious while transporting. A packet of bread was found in the car.

It is also suspected that the car bearing Bengaluru registration number KA05MQ4824 is a duplicate registration number and probably stolen.

This incident took place at around 5.30 am and this shows a security failure as the vehicle should have been stopped for checking at Charmadi check post. Public is expressing rage that failure of police in preventing these kind of transportation is the cause for stealing of cows.

The inmates of the car made good their escape as soon as the car fell into the ditch after turning turtle. The car is completely damaged beyond repair in the mishap.

WALLAHI This is so cruel. How can they just do that. Totally unacceptable.. so sad so sad.. beef is consumed by muslims & even nom muslims around mangalore & in around India.. and beef export is also done.. but here how they are transporting those cows are not at all acceptable.. its inhumane & so cruel.. how can they just do that. Even if the accident had not took place, that poor cow wud have died anyhow due to suffocation & same dead cow they would have served.. lets try not to eat beef. That the better option. Even without eating beef we could survive right. So lets try to do that. IN SHA ALLAH

There are a large number of vehicles moving about in Kudroli area without number plate, false number plates and not transfered to new owner's name. They are used for some illegal purposes.Police should check and seize the vehicles and punish the owners. There is a big racket of second hand vehicle sale going on which should be regularised.

How can one be so cruel ?
Transporting 6 cows in that small car.
For the sake of a small amount of money they killed these innocent animals.
Stealing cows and transporting in this way is definitely haram.
I think they bribed the checkpost staff, they also should be investigated and punished.

No don't change your views. The thieves are in your backyard. So inform, critisize, educate them! Instead of giving fake sympathies. Also the number plate is Registered in the name of MAHAMMAD ANSAR. I'm in No way a Bjp supporter but this is one of the reasons Bjp just won!
