Kuwait: Critical 'Shoun' meeting cancelled - Hopes of stranded youths dashed

Daijiworld Media Network - Kuwait (SP)

Kuwait, Jun 4: The decisive meeting of 'Shoun' department that had been scheduled for Monday, June 3 was put off at the last minute. As such, the hopes of 72 people from India including 33 from Dakskhina Kannada district who have been stuck at Kuwait of early return to their native places have been dashed.

The meeting held on Sunday at 'Shoun' office that works like courts in respect of labour disputes was attended by second secretary in the Indian Embassy, Shibi U S, representatives of Shoun, Pam, and Inesco General Trading and Contracting Company along with 60 affected workers. The meeting was postponed to Monday as all the distressed workers were not present.

In the meantime, the company confirmed to Indian embassy that the Indian employees have returned the assets belonging to the company. But it is yet to issue no objection certificates. The company had promised to pay 100 dinars to the affected workers out of which it has disbursed 38 dinars to them. It has said that it will disburse the balance amount when releasing them from the contract.

Representative of Inesco General Trading called up Indian Embassy and expressed helplessness in attending the meeting on Monday because of Ramzan preparations. Therefore the meeting was again called off. This meeting is likely to be held on the ninth or tenth of this month.

Disgusting on the whole.Pity these people who are in a cage with no good prospects atleast for the present .Thatswhy for the future kuwait dreamers a warning.Without confirming first ,dont pour your hard earned money to these super agents.
I wish atleast they will get freed with a week or a month, but not land in closed doors.I find whatever it is ,Ramadan ,preparation ,give freedom to people who are opfer from these agents. Then only even Allah will be happy ,because you gave them freedom.

REMINDER FOR THOSE WHO ARE TRYING FOR A JOB IN KUWAIT.
KUWAIT AND ALL GULF COUNTRIES WERE GOOD SPOTS FOR EARNING QUICK BUCKS, A FEW YEARS BACK. BUT NOT NOW...
AS ALL OF YOU KNOW HERE THE SITUATION IS NOT SO GOOD.
SAME SALARY WE CAN EARN IN INDIA ALSO IF WE WORK HARD.
FOR EXAMPLE ROOM ATTENDANTS SALARY HERE IN KUWAIT IS K.D. 100(22 THOUSAND)
IN INDIA A ROOM ATTENDANT EARNS RS. 20 THOUSAND, IN A STAR HOTEL.
THEN WHAT IS THE USE IN COMING HERE AFTER LEAVING FAMILY.
IF AT ALL HE GETS SOME MORE SALARY THEN HE HAS TO GO VACATION AND WHATEVER HE KEPT AS SAVINGS HE WILL SPEND DURING VACATION AND RETURNS EMPTY HANDED. THIS WILL CONTINUE AS LONG AS HE LIVES HERE. NO SAVINGS.
NOBODY IN INDIA KNOWS THE REAL STORY OF PEOPLE WHO WORK HERE.
SO MY REQUEST IS BETTER TO SETTLE DOWN IN INDIA.
FOR A PERSON WHO REALLY WANTS TO WORK FOR HIM THERE IS WORK.
UNEMPLOYMENT IS FOR A LAZY MAN..
