Kasargod: Three people arrested for attempting to smuggle sandalwood from sanctuary

Kasargod, May 19: Forest department officials here arrested three people for trying to cut sandalwood tree and transport sandalwood from Karadka sanctuary.

The arrested are Kottangui, Karadka resident Ramesh (19), Malangai resident Vishwanath (37) and a 16- year-old boy.

Bovikkana circle forest officials who conducted the raid after receiving definite information, confiscated the tools that were used to cut the tree.
