Mangaluru, Aug 1: In a special prayer ceremony seeking the prosperity of the nation and good health, long life and divine blessings for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, members of Namo Rashtra Bhaktaru organised a Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Homa at the residence of Sadashiva Aithal near Someshwara Sri Somanatha Kshetra in Ullal on Saturday.
Addressing the gathering, BJP Dakshina Kannada district president Satish Kumpala said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has introduced several people-centric schemes and has accorded top priority to national security, enabling citizens to lead a culturally enriched life. He said the devotees prayed that Modi be blessed with good health, longevity and strength so that the country continues to benefit from his leadership.

The Homa was conducted with prayers for the Prime Minister's health, long life, enhanced strength, divine grace and the overall welfare and prosperity of the nation.
Among those present were BJP district vice-president K Ravindra Shetty Ulidottu, BJP Mangaluru Mandal president Jagadish Alva Kuvettabailu, vice-president Ravishankar Someshwar, general secretary Dayananda Thokkottu, secretaries Bharat Gatti Konaje and Ramesh Bedrolike, Mahila Morcha president Madhavi Ullal, senior leader Seetharama Bangera, former BJP Mangaluru Mandal president Chandrahas Pandit House, Kotekar Town Panchayat president Divya Shetty, vice-president Praveen Bagambil, Someshwar Town Municipal Council Standing Committee chairman Purushothama Gatti Paryattur, members Harish Kumpala, Sona Subhashini, Swapna Shetty and Manoj Kattemane, along with Ramesh Kolya, Jitendra Shetty Talapadiguthu, Jeevan Kumar Thokkottu, Jayashree Karkera, Yashwanth Deraje, Shekhar Kaneeru Thota and several other party workers.
Speaking on the occasion, BJP Mangaluru Mandal vice-president Ravishankar Someshwar said the country was fortunate to have Narendra Modi as Prime Minister. Referring to recent developments that, according to him, had caused distress to the Prime Minister, he said Modi's supporters had organised the Homa by worshipping Lord Ugra Narasimha for his well-being and called upon devotees across the country to conduct similar prayers and religious rituals for him.
