Samson's wife, Victoria Mathias, who was questioned, was produced in the court. The court remanded her to judicial custody till May 29.

The body parts of Shreemathi found at Kadri Park and Nandigudda areas have been handed over to her family members. If the feet are confirmed during medical examination to be belonging to her, they too would be given to her family, police sources stated.

It is said that Shreemathi, who had lent one lac rupees to Jonas as loan, and who was able to recover only Rs 40,000 from him, had repeatedly called him over phone to seek repayment of balance Rs 60,000. As Jonas did not receive her calls, she decided to personally confront him to demand payment of balance due. This decision cost Shreemathi her life.

It is learnt that in the fast food mobile restaurant which Jonas operated at Nandigudde on a Maruti Omni van, he had a north Indian cook for assistance. He was good at preparing tasty fast food. This man had left for his hometown about six weeks back, but had not returned. As Jonas did not succeed in preparing food as expertly as the north Indian man did, he faced losses and hence closed the shop a month back. He was facing acute financial distress, investigation so far has revealed.
