Bengaluru: Actor Prakash Rai feels Sumalatha is better choice than Nikhil Kumaraswamy

Bengaluru, Apr 12: Sumalatha Ambareesh got support from actor-turned-politician, Prakash Rai, who is fighting the Lok Sabha election as an independent candidate from the city central constituency.

Prakash said that in Mandya constituency, independent candidate, Sumalatha, is a better choice when compared to the Congress-JD(S) coalition candidate, Nikhil Kumaraswamy.

At the same time, the seasoned actor felt that family politics is not totally wrong if the people entering politics have the eligibility for the same. He felt that Sumalatha has clarity about politics she wants to pursue, duly adding that if experience, thought process, age, maturity and other issues are taken into account, Sumalatha emerges as a better choice in the constituency.

He wanted people not to stay away from polling, and wanted them to exercise franchise carefully by taking into account the candidate involved. "If none of the candidates are considered good, the election commission has given NOTA option," he observed.
