Mumbai, Sep 27: The cast of Nitesh Tiwari's much-awaited Ramayana has begun promotions for the first part of the film, which is scheduled to release in theatres on November 8, 2026.
An event was held at the DNEG/Prime Focus office in Mumbai, where director Nitesh Tiwari, actors Sai Pallavi, Ranbir Kapoor and Ravi Dubey, along with popular YouTuber MrBeast, were seen greeting fans.
Sai Pallavi, who plays Sita in the film, opted for an understated traditional look in a peach-orange saree.
The actor wore a peach-orange organza silk saree, with the fabric featuring a subtle sheen that enhanced the fall of the pallu. Metallic-thread detailing gave the saree a luminous appearance, while the intricate zari work on the border and blouse added a regal touch.
Sai Pallavi kept her makeup minimal, opting for a dewy base, highlighter and muted nude lipstick. Subtle kohl defined her eyes, while peach-toned blush added warmth to her look.
She wore her curly hair in a loose braid and accessorised it with a studded floral ornament around the crown. Studded earrings with pearl drops, antique gold bangles and a ring completed the look. She chose not to wear a necklace.
The Mumbai appearance comes after the Ramayana cast's promotional event in Delhi earlier in July. At the Delhi event, Sai Pallavi wore a pink-and-gold Kanjivaram saree with an intricate zari border, paired with temple jewellery, stacked bangles, gold jhumkas and a japmala.
Speaking about playing Sita in the screen adaptation of the Hindu epic, Sai Pallavi said the role was a blessing and not something she had actively sought.
"I don't think I chose to play Sita Maa. I was blessed to play this role," she said, adding that she would meditate and pray, "Sita Maa, you act through me."
She also said playing a Goddess was not easy for actors and that the team behind the project had to put their "heart and soul" into making the film the best version.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is being mounted on a reported budget of Rs 4,000 crore. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, Kunal Kapoor, Ravi Dubey, Kumar Vishwas and Arun Govil, among others.
Part 1 of Ramayana is scheduled to release on November 8, 2026.
