Mangalore, Jan 6: Thousands of faithful gathered here on Sunday January 5 to participate in the annual Eucharistic procession of Mangalore diocese which was held from Milagres Church to Rosario Cathedral.

Prior to the procession, Mass was offered by Bishop of Mangalore Dr Aloysius Paul D'Souza at Milagres Church. The procession led by the bishop culminated at Rosario Cathedral where adoration was held.

Fr Vijay Machado, director designate of Mangala Jyothi said that people have to confess whenever they feel that they have committed a sin.

"Confession gives you a chance to cleanse your soul and yourself, and feel relief. Confession changes your life, it teaches you to forgive others as well as to forgive yourself. God is our saviour, he is everything to all of us. He forgets and forgives our sins. No one should wait for the priest to announce that there will be confession. You must prepare yourself for confession whenever you feel the need," he said.

"We should share things with others, we should not quarrel with our neighbours," he added.

Fr Sunil George D'Souza announced the names of parishes which made the highest collections for Mangalore diocese. They were honoured with mementoes.

The programme was compered by Fr Boniface Pinto.

Thousands of people including priests, nuns and the laity took part in the procession.

The entire programme was managed by Fr Ajith Rodrigues, assistant parish priest of Rosario.

Msgr Denis Moras Prabhu, vicar general, Fr Henry Sequeira, chancellor, Fr Valerian D'Souza, Milagres parish priest, Fr J B Crasta, parish priest of Rosario Cathedral, MLA, J R Lobo were present.

Fr. Victor Machado explained a real story of Odisha.Very nice. Our Pope follows Christ and his principles and conception of Church are closer to our messiah. Will the entire clergy of mangalore diocese make the beginng of What Mr. machado explained to the audience and priest, nuns etc. so that we can become follower of christ instead follower of christianity. The motto of mangalore Diocese 2014 will not serve any purpose unless clergy/nuns set model in life.

Many of ours must take part in such an event and show our Love for our God and Jesus. This is one model of New Evangelization of the world. By being present for this type pf event we preach Christ. Therefore, it amounts to "Sentire cum Eclesia" JAI CHRISTA, JAI TUKA JAI JAI!!!!!!!
