St Aloysius High School bids farewell to assistant headmaster Lancy D'Souza

Mangaluru, Oct 3: Lancy D'Souza, who served continuously for 26 years and fulfilled his duties as the assistant headmaster of the prestigious St Aloysius High School, Kodialbail, retired from the teaching profession on October 3. Honouring his long-standing and exemplary service, the students and staff of the school organised a warm and touching farewell programme.

Presiding over the event, Fr Brian Pereira, rector of St Aloysius Institutions, lauded the exceptional service rendered by Lancy D'Souza to the institution, stating that his professional achievements will forever serve as an inspiration to all.

School headmaster Fr Johnson Pinto SJ highly praised the responsibilities discharged by Lancy D'Souza throughout his teaching career, recalling the valuable time and service he dedicated to the growth and prosperity of the school.

Accepting the felicitation, Lancy D'Souza expressed deep gratitude for the opportunities provided to him by the institution. He fondly remembered all the rectors, headmasters, and colleagues who encouraged him throughout his journey, and shared his aspiration that everyone should continually strive for the betterment of the school.

During the programme, Praveen Cutinha shared heartfelt reflections about his association with his friend, Lancy D'Souza. Jovita D'Souza read the citation. Sunil Lobo welcomed the gathering, and Diana Goveas compered the event. Under the supervision of John Chandran, Sunita Pais organized the programme and delivered the vote of thanks.

All teaching and non-teaching staff members conveyed their best wishes to the retiring assistant headmaster through a soulful farewell song. The event concluded happily with a fellowship lunch in the afternoon.
