Udupi, Sep 29: Udupi Town police have registered a case following the theft of a private bus parked behind Hanuman Petrol Bunk in Udupi.

According to the complaint, Krishna (51), a resident of Katbelthur, Kundapur, is the conductor of Sri Durgamba bus bearing registration number KA-20-AD-1931, while Rayin Uchila is the driver.

The bus was parked behind Hanuman Petrol Bunk at around 9.48 pm on September 28. At around 10 pm, the complainant reportedly left the spot along with the driver on a scooter.

When Krishna returned to Hanuman Petrol Bunk at around 9 am on September 29, he found the bus missing from the spot where it had been parked.

Based on the complaint that two unidentified persons allegedly arrived on a two-wheeler and stole the parked bus, Udupi Town Police have registered a case and launched an investigation.

Meanwhile, the bus was later found in Mudarangadi of Shirva area.

Police have confiscated the bus and investigation is under way.
