Bengaluru, Sep 4: With the youth increasingly drawn towards social media and earning handsomely as content creators, a techie couple took the plunge by quitting their lucrative software jobs that paid them Rs 35 lac annually. Their gamble paid off as they earned over Rs 1 crore in just a year after transitioning to full-time content creation.
Muskan Mittal and Ashish Gupta left their corporate careers to dedicate themselves fully to the digital space. Sharing a video on their Instagram page, the couple disclosed their previous salaries as software engineers, their initial earnings from social media, and their current staggering income.

Their journey began when they shared their Vietnam trip online, a video that quickly garnered over 20,000 views. Today, their page primarily focuses on travel, along with posts related to health and lifestyle. "We have been creating content for the past three years. Thousands of people messaged us asking about our lives, and we answered all your questions in the video," they stated on Instagram.
Before their transition, both worked in a software company. Ashish, who worked as a data analyst, earned Rs 12 lac annually, while Muskan, a software developer, had a package of Rs 23 lac, bringing their combined annual income to Rs 35 lac.
The couple explained that they began their content creation journey in May 2023 and secured their first paid collaboration for Rs 15,000 in October of the same year. Operating part-time initially, they managed to earn Rs 6.5 lac that year. By 2024, Muskan and Ashish quit their jobs to pursue the digital space full-time. After partnering with a travel agency, their income saw a significant boost, ultimately culminating in earnings of Rs 1.09 crore in 2025.
