Miami, May 25: Inter Miami CF produced a dramatic attacking masterclass to defeat Philadelphia Union 6-4 in an extraordinary Major League Soccer (MLS) clash, completing a comeback that featured goals galore and multiple lead changes.
Luis Suárez stole the spotlight with a hat-trick, while German Berterame scored a brace and Rodrigo De Paul added another as Inter Miami extended their winning streak to four matches in the regular season ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026 break.

Philadelphia Union began strongly, striking twice in the opening 10 minutes to take an early 2-0 lead. However, Inter Miami responded quickly in the 13th minute when Berterame finished from close range after a precise assist from Lionel Messi, marking his sixth goal of the season.
The visitors briefly restored their two-goal advantage in the 20th minute, but the hosts refused to back down. Suárez reduced the deficit in the 29th minute with a superb volley from a Fray cross, before Berterame brought Miami level in the 42nd minute with his second goal of the night, finishing clinically from a Messi assist.
Just before half-time, Inter Miami turned the match around completely when Suárez struck again in the 44th minute after a rebound opportunity created by De Paul, giving the home side a 4-3 lead.
Philadelphia managed to equalise deep into first-half stoppage time, sending both teams into the break locked at 4-4 after a frantic opening 45 minutes.
The second half remained tightly contested until the 81st minute, when Berterame’s initial effort was saved but he set up Suárez for his third goal of the night, completing a clinical hat-trick for the Uruguayan striker and restoring Miami’s lead.
De Paul sealed the victory in stoppage time, finishing a swift counter-attack initiated by Silvetti to make it 6-4 and secure all three points for the hosts.
The result marked another high-scoring statement performance from Inter Miami, who continue their strong form heading into the season break.
