Paris, Oct 25: Indian shuttler PV Sindhu stormed into the final of the French Open Badminton Championships after defeating Japan’s Hina Akechi in a thrilling three-game semifinal on Saturday.

The two-time Olympic medallist secured a 21-10, 20-22, 21-16 victory in a gruelling 73-minute contest to book her place in the title clash.

The 31-year-old has reached her second Super 750 final of the season, following her title-winning performance at the Japan Open in July.
