Mangaluru, Mar 30: Following the commencement of the construction of a new bridge over the stormwater drain near TMA Pai Hall on the busy MG Road, the city police have announced major traffic diversions for a period of two months, from March 30 to May 30.
During this period, only one-way traffic will be permitted from PVS Junction toward Lalbagh. Vehicles traveling from Lalbagh toward PVS will need to follow the designated alternative routes.

The revised traffic plan is as follows:

Private Service Buses: From Kottara Junction via KPT Junction – Battagudda Junction – Bejai Junction – Pio Mall Road – Jail Road – PVS Junction.

Private City Buses: From Kottara Junction via Ladyhill Junction – Lalbagh – KSRTC – Bejai Junction – Pio Mall Road – Jail Road – PVS Junction.

Goods Vehicles: From Kottara Junction via Ladyhill Junction – Mannagudda Junction – Durga Mahal – New Chitra Junction – Balaji Junction.

Private Luxury Buses: From Kottara Junction via KPT Junction – Nanthoor Junction – Shivabagh Junction.

KSRTC General and Express Buses: From KSRTC bus stand via Bejai Church Road – Pio Mall (Tandoor Bar) – Karangalpady Junction (turning left).

KSRTC Volvo and Rajahamsa Buses: From KSRTC bus stand via Bejai Junction – Battagudda – KPT Junction.

Cars and Two-wheelers: From Lalbagh via Ballalbagh toward PVS, vehicles must turn right at Ballalbagh Junction toward Durga Mahal or turn right at the Ballalbagh Junction-TMA Pai Hall stretch toward Pattumudi Cross Road – GG Road – Vishal Nursing Home.
No-Parking Zones: To ensure smooth traffic flow, parking is strictly prohibited on both sides of the road from Bejai Junction to PVS Junction via Jail Road, and from Tandoor Hotel to Karangalpady Junction. Additionally, no parking is allowed from PVS Junction to Lalbagh Junction, Lalbagh Junction to Mannagudda, and from Kodialguthu Cross to Kodialguthu Junction. Vehicles arriving from Bejai on Pio Mall Road are also prohibited from turning right toward Kodialguthu Cross Road.
