Beltangady’s Rajesh P awarded Chief Minister’s Medal for distinguished fire service

Mangaluru, Feb 25: Rajesh P, an officer serving at the Beltangady Fire Station under the Karnataka State Fire and Emergency Services, has been conferred the Chief Minister’s Medal in recognition of his distinguished and exemplary service.

Rajesh joined the department in 2008 as a fireman and underwent basic training at the KSRP 8th Battalion camp in Machenahalli, Shivamogga. After completing his training, he was posted to the Pandeshwar Fire Station, where he began active duty. He was later transferred to the Kadri Fire Station, continuing to serve with dedication, discipline and professionalism.

In 2025, in recognition of his committed and meritorious service, Rajesh was promoted to the rank of Leading Fireman and posted to the Belthangady Fire Station, where he is currently serving.

During his 17 years in the department, he has received a cash reward of Rs 12,000 for meritorious service.

In 2025, he was further honoured with the Chief Minister’s Medal by the Karnataka State Fire and Emergency Services Department in appreciation of his outstanding contribution to the force.
