Mangaluru: Pandeshwar fire station driver Karthik bags CM’s gold medal

Mangaluru, Feb 25:
V M Karthik, a dedicated and honest staff member of the Pandeshwar fire station, has been awarded the prestigious Chief Minister’s Gold Medal for the year 2025.

A resident of Kumpala in Mangaluru, Karthik joined the Karnataka State Fire and Emergency Services in 2008.

He completed his professional training at the RA Mundkur Fire and Emergency Services Academy in Bengaluru.

Throughout his 18-year career, Karthik has served in various stations including Madikeri, Gonikoppal, Udupi, and Beltangady. He is currently discharging his duties at the Pandeshwar fire station in Mangaluru.

His efficient and sincere service has earned him several cash prizes and accolades in the past. In recognition of his long-standing commitment to public safety and emergency response, the department selected him for the Chief Minister’s Gold Medal for 2025.
