Udupi, Feb 23: The long-pending Santhekatte underpass project has finally gained remarkable momentum, bringing visible relief to thousands of daily commuters. Following months of inconvenience along the busy national highway stretch, the project is now expected to be completed before the onset of the monsoon.

The underpass construction at Santhekatte junction had earlier drawn sharp criticism from residents and motorists due to prolonged delays, traffic congestion, and poor planning.
