New Delhi, Nov 5: Air India on Wednesday alerted passengers about delays in the departure of several flights following a third-party connectivity network issue that disrupted check-in systems at some airports earlier in the day.
The Tata Group-owned airline said the system had since been restored but warned that some flights may continue to be delayed as operations return to normal.
“Passengers flying with us today may check their flight status on airindia.com before heading to the airport and allow extra time for their journey,” Air India said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the airline said it had operated a relief flight to transport passengers of the San Francisco–Delhi flight (AI174), which made a precautionary landing in Mongolia on November 2 after the crew reported a suspected technical issue.
The diverted aircraft landed safely in Ulaanbaatar, where passengers were provided hotel accommodation with assistance from local authorities and the Indian Embassy in Mongolia.
“The safety and wellbeing of our passengers and crew remain our top priority,” an Air India spokesperson said.
Separately, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) last week granted temporary extensions to flight duty times for two-pilot Boeing 787 Dreamliner operations on European routes. The move comes amid longer flight paths caused by the closure of Pakistani airspace.
Under the temporary extension, the Flight Duty Time Limitation (FDTL) has been increased from 10 hours to 10 hours 30 minutes, and the Flight Duty Period (FDP) from 13 to 14 hours.
